Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I will keep this short and sweet so everyone can recuperate after the feast that was Thursday. This was our first Thanksgiving together and we had a lot of fun. We spent Thanksgiving with our close friends here on base, both married and single soldiers. The dinner was primarily put on by our closest friends Karlea and Scott Thourot and ourselves. We invited enough people (and dogs) to fill their new home, which was good considering we had a 30 lb turkey, enough side dishes (and OF each side dish) to feed a zoo and 5 different pies! Everything came out delicious.
Our holiday continued with a small fire in the backyard and being among our friends who, like us, were unable to visit home. We had a great holiday and are Thankful we have our friends when we are so far from our family.
